About Me

Hi!

I'm Schuyler, an anthropologist and historian of security technologies. I am a research scholar at the Ronin Institute, a proud and active member of the History of Science Society, and have presented dozens of talks, workshops, and papers at various conferences.

While I'm living a much less public life than I once was, I still research the intersection of security technologies and human behavior, enjoy talking locks with all and sundry, and occasionally consult for film, television, journalists, and authors.

If you need to know something about locks, how human beings engage with security technologies of all varieties, or any of the histories I've dug up over the years, I'd be glad to talk. Feel free to drop me a line.
